Teacher's Day is celebrated to show our acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by our teachers towards our study, society and country.

A teacher is always considered as a bridge between the ocean of knowledge and the learners. A teacher not only creates a way for the learners but also guide them as a torchbearer.

Students always look forward to Teacher's Day with a lot of anticipation, for the sheer spirit of the occasion. imitating their teachers whom they admire and aspire to be like them, they get a fair idea of the responsibility. They get to embrace the fact that it is the untiring zeal of their teachers only who try every possible way to feed the learner’s mind. It requires a lot of hard work, smart work and dedication to be a good teacher and earn the affection of students at the same time.

At The Jain International School, the stupendous morning of 5th September dawned with many surprises for the teachers. This iconic day commenced with a Special Assembly conducted by the senior students of class XII. The students played the role of the Principal Mr. M.K.Panda, Junior Headmistress, Ms. Rekha Singh and Senior Headmistress, Ms. Deepa Singh.

This was followed by a short cultural programme which commenced with paying tribute to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan by lighting a lamp.

The cultural programme consisting of music, dance and games presented by the students left the teachers cum onlookers awestruck. They did not leave even a single stone unturned to entertain them and had been successful at putting their best foot forward. All the teachers were bestowed with titles suiting their personalities. The reigns of the entire event were very successfully held till the end by the Head Boy Vedansh Jaiswal, the Head Girl Tannistha Roy and their companions.

He urged the teachers to move with a sense of pride and dignity and carry an air of self-respect. In addition to that he suggested that teaching is related directly to the society and there should be no compromise with quality education and discipline.

Life isn’t a matter of milestones but of moments. Today, the students gave the teachers those moments which they will cherish throughout the year. This was their way of thanking their teachers for guiding, supporting, inspiring and teaching them.

“The true teachers are those who help us think for ourselves.”

I like a teacher who gives you something to take home to think about besides homework.”
