Open Inter House Choir Competition

On Friday, 30th August, 2019

AT TJIS, Kanpur

‘Singing in a choir is cheaper than a therapy, healthier than drinking and more fun than Working out!’

Music binds soul, hearts and emotions. Music is extremely important for all children at school level and can lead to better brain development, better social connection and even stress relief. Education, if not incorporated with co-curricular activities cannot be considered workable and complete. In its effort to widen the horizon of music, The Jain International School, Kanpur, organized an Open Inter House Choir Competition on Friday, 30th August, 2019. All the four houses viz. Blue Panthers, Green Leopards, Red Jaguars and Yellow Tigers displayed their vocal talent with full zeal and musical caliber.

The judges for the event were Mrs. Jyoti Johari, Mrs. Supriya Singh and Ms. Pooja Sharma. The melodious groups were judged on their Accent, Rhythm, Melody, synchronization and Overall Presentation.

Mrs Anoo Panda, Guest of Honour for the event congratulated the students for presenting a marvellous show. In her address, Ma’am highlighted on the benefits of participation in Choirs instead of solo performances.

The musical morning concluded with the announcement of the result by the Principal, Mr. M.K. Panda who appreciated the efforts put in by the staff and the students in making the event a grand success. Junior Headmistress Mrs Rekha Singh respectively were also present to witness the event.

It is rightly said “Days are not lost when memories are created”. I’m sure this musical morning is going to create everlasting memories.
