For kids - 'Festivals are Fun'. Besides fun the children also get acquainted to their rich culture, traditions and values.There was an air of festivity on the occasion of Janamashtami. The whole week was krisnamaya. The celebrations began from Monday, 19^th August, when the students of little champs visited The ISKCON Temple to seek the blessings of Radha – Krishna. Throughout the week the Morning Assembly comprised of information and wise maxims by Lord Krishna and hymns recited by our little krishnas.

23^rd Morning saw an air of festivity when our little ones, clad in costumes of Radha and Krishna mesmerised everyone. There was a special assembly on Janamashtami. The children merrily performed dance and sang hymns in the appreciation of Lord Krishna. Respected Principal Mr. M. K. Panda, Senior Headmistress Mrs Deepa Singh and Little Champs Headmistress Mrs Rekha Singh were also present on the occasion.

Krishna was born in the darkness of the night, into the locked confines of a jail. However, at the moment of His birth, all the guards fell asleep, the chains were broken and the barred doors gently opened. Similarly, as soon as Krishna-Awareness takes birth in our hearts, all darkness- Negativity fades. All chains - Ego, I, me & myself are broken. All prison doors we keep ourselves in-Caste, Religion, Profession, Relations, etc. are opened.

This is the Real Message and Essence of Janmashtami.

The programme was a grand success and everyone present enjoyed it immensely.
