Inter House Solo Dance Competition

If you want to portray all your emotions in the eyes of onlooker you must dance. Of all the Arts, none remain as rooted in ritual as Dance. To move with music beats means to be serene, to be live every moment; be it lucid, laughter or gloom. It carves the beauty that Almighty bestows on us. The dance allows us to portray all hues of emotions on the canvas called dance floor. Varied styles, forms from folklore to classical, from Rapp to Jazz, Locking-popping to Moon Walk, from Virtuoso to Dilettante, dance has been a gut-wrenching aspect of human existence. Dance is a form of expression given to man just as speech, philosophy, painting or music.

On Friday, 2^nd August, 2019 dancers at The Jain International School rocked the floor with their breath-taking performance at ‘The Inter House Solo Dance Competition’. One contestant each from all the four houses for each Groups A, B and C participated in the contest with full zeal and energy and gave a tough competition to their fellow participants.

The presence of Honourable Principal, Mr. M. K. Panda, Junior Headmistress Ms. Rekha Singh and Senior Headmistress Ms. Deepa Singh boosted the participants. Mr. Sourabh Massey, Ms. Deepika Tiwari and Ms Puja Sharma as honourable jury members were highly acclaimed by the audience. The participants were judged for Choreography, Costume, Use of Props, Expressions and Overall Performance. The time duration for the performance was 3 minutes each.

The theme for Groups A, B and C were Bollywood Bonanza, Folk Dance and Classical Fusion respectively.

Kashish Verma and Unnati Gupta held the reins of the entire programme in an impeccable way till the end. Green Leopards hosted the programme meticulously. The scintillating morning concluded with the declaration of results by Principal Sir.
