Swimming is a great workout because you need to move your whole body against the resistance of the water. Swimming is a good all-round activity because it builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness. Swimming is not only a sport but an exercise also. Swimming sounds fun to those who swim for fun, but those who breathe it, who live in and out of the water, can only know the true meaning of swimming. Competition in swimming takes more mental toughness to excel in than any other sport. To be ready for the competition you have to be mentally and physically fit. TJIS Aqua Champions truly breathe swimming.
The Swimming team of The Jain International School consisting of 19 students, both boys and girls represented the school at Allen House, Panki to contest at School level. 35 schools participated in the competition. The enthusiastic and rigorous swimmers participated in different swimming events and bagged overall 36 Medals -11 Gold, 11 Silver and 14 Bronze Medals.
Shreya Rajbhar of class 7th Under 17- Girls and Shivangi Rajbhar of class 10th Under 19 – Girls brought laurels to the school by winning the Individual Championships.
Overall First Runner-up Championship was bagged by our Girls team.
Overall First Runner-up Championship for both Boys and Girls was also won by our School Team.
