Undoubtedly a genuine educator is one who can manifest himself in varied dance forms. Of all the Arts, none remain as rooted in ritual as Dance. To dance means to be new, to be very fresh at every moment, as though one has just been issued from the hands of God. The dance is one of many human experiences which cannot be suppressed. Dancing has existed at all times and among all people and races. Dance is a form of expression given to man just as speech, philosophy, painting or music.
On Tuesday, 28th August, 2018 dancers at The Jain International School rocked the floor with their breath-taking performance at ‘The Inter House Solo Dance Competition’. One contestant each from all the four houses for each Groups A, B and C participated in the contest with full zeal and energy and gave a tough competition to their rivals.
The presence of Honourable Principal, Mr. M. K. Panda, Respected Junior Headmistress, Ms. Rekha Singh, Senior Headmistress, Ms. Deepa Singh and Dance Teacher, Ms Puja Sharma as honourable jury members was highly acclaimed by the audience. The participants were judged for Choreography, Costume and Use of Props, Expressions and Overall Performance. The time duration for the performance was 3 minutes each.
The theme for Groups A, B and C were Bollywood Bonanza, Folk Dance And International Fusion respectively.
Kashish Verma and Ashmit Dwivedi held the reins of the entire programme very successfully till the end. Yellow Tigers hosted the programme meticulously. The Musical morning concluded with the declaration of results by Principal Sir and Vote of Thanks by Junior Headmistress Ma’am.
