A Teachers’ Workshop by TJIS Principal Advisor, Mr. Amitabh Mohan

At TJIS, Kanpur

On Tuesday, 3rd April, 2018

‘Good teachers become great teachers by going beyond the call of duty and beyond the textbook’

It’s never about the child, it’s about the teachers. In order to become a truly great teacher, one must go beyond the textbook and attend workshops and ongoing education courses to truly master the practice. There are conferences, workshops, and continuing education that could give the teacher that extra help in technology for their students. Workshops are extremely important in a school environment to promote pupils’ wellbeing and increase awareness of topics. Administrators should encourage their teachers to continue their education as well as make opportunities available for them to do so.

Keeping in view the need of the day Mr Amitabh Mohan, Honourable Principal Advisor of The Jain International School conducted an interactive workshop with the staff of the Junior and Senior School on Tuesday, 3rd April, 2018 to upgrade them with the system of teaching and Lesson Planning for their teaching sessions. Respected Principal Mr. M.K. Panda and Headmistress Mrs. Soumee Sarkar extended their heartfelt greetings to Amitabh Sir and paid  gratitude for taking out time from his busy schedule.

The interactive session commenced with a positive note that at TJIS we do not compromise with quality for the sustainability of the numbers. The system has matured and we need to take a fresh start. Sir urged the teachers to maintain the quality of the students. Thereafter the teachers were given a detailed description of Bloom’s Taxonomy and Teaching Lesson Plans. The focus should always be the well being of the students.

In a nutshell, there are many things that we as educators and future administrators can do to further our education and increase our ability and the ability of our students. When we attend a workshop we learn how to improve our skills in the process. We must also remember that technology is forever and quickly changing. Therefore, we must immerse ourselves in what is new and current to better the lives and education of our students.
