INTER HOUSE EXTEMPORE COMPETITION

To enhance the oratory skills of the students Inter House Extempore Competition was conducted at The Jain International School, Kanpur on Saturday, 15^th April, 2017.

The event was hosted by Blue Panthers.

The competition was conducted for both Groups –B (Classes 6^th to 8^th) and C (Classes 9^th to 12th) in which two contestants each from all the four houses participated.The participants were given the topic 10 minutes before the event and each one had to speak on the given topic for 1.30 minutes.

The Anchors for the event Jahnavi Mallick and Tanya Porwal held the reigns of the programme very successfully till the end. Aman Singh and Udit Barnawal were the Time Keepers.

The judges for the event were The Honourable Principal Mr M.K.Panda, Senior School Co-ordinator Mrs Deepa Singh, Middle School Co-ordinator Mrs Rekha Singh and CulturalCo-ordinator Mrs ManinderKaur. The contestants were judged on the Content, Vocabulary, Voice Modulation and Overall Presentation.

The Competition commenced with the good wishes of Principal Sir. Winning the competition was a matter of honour and pride not only for the individual participants but also for the houses. The competition encouraged the students to speak confidently with clarity and flair.The results were as follows:

Group – B (Classes VI TO VIII)

 

Group – C (Classes IX to XII)

 

All participants performed exceptionally well winning accolades for their houses.  The competition gave a lot of encouragement and confidence to the speakers and all present there .The event was culminated with words of encouragement and tips for Public Speaking by Principal Sir. Sir appreciated the efforts of all the contestants, House Members and Cultural Department for their active participation.
