Orientation Programme of Pre-primary & Activities held for Primary on the First day of the New Session (3^rd April, 2017)

 

       On 3^rd April, 2017, an Orientation Programme was organized for the pre-primary children of the Little Champs. Their parents were also invited to make their child's transition from home / preschool as easy as possible. The programme began with a welcome address by the Principal of the Little Champs, Mrs. Chandrani Banerjee. She conveyed to them about the school policies, curriculum followed and the teaching methodology. She gave ways to help the children adjust in the school environment. She also discussed about nurturing the healthy eating habits among the children. The parents were given further practical information such as uniform requirements, information, bus travel, etc. 

 

     Then, in order to entertain the children, some games were organized for the parents as well as the children like ‘Balloon Burst’, ‘Ball Game’ and ‘Commando’. The winners of the games were given chocolates. The student’s palm impressions were taken on a welcome chart believing that the prints or impressions of a child’s palm can be kept as a memento by the teachers as well as parents. The students wore a handmade cap which was a return gift for them.

 

     On the first day of the academic session, the students of Grades 1 to 5 participated in an activity in which they blew and tied the balloons in the whole premises of the junior block. The students  not only enjoyed themselves but also had great fun.
