Lakshya, the Career Counselling Cell was initiated at The Jain International School keeping in view the dilemma our teenagers face when deciding their future course of life and we have been successful in our endeavours to a great extent. We have been inviting specialists and educationists from different fields to guide and counsel our students from time to time not only regarding Careers in India but overseas and also how to go ahead to achieve their targets..
On Friday, 2nd September, 2016 four representatives from ‘The Chopras’ viz. Mr Simranjeet Singh, Ms Chumki Kar, Ms Ankita Singh and Mr Ankit Jauhri visited our school and addressed Class 12 students. They gave them a detailed account of careers in India and abroad for which their organisation assists.
They informed the students to be well aware about their career options and collect data pertaining to varied Universities in India and abroad related to the same. They also told the students about the scholarship facilities abroad and how to achieve them. They should not only achieve in academics but also participate in co-curricular activities at class 11 and 12 level that will help them to achieve higher scholarships.
‘The Chopras’ services consist of Career Planning, Country, Course, University and Institution Selection, Admission Formalities, Accommodation Arrangements, Visa Assistance, Advice on Employment and Migration Opportunities, Currency exchange, etc.
The members interacted with the students one-to-one and solved their queries very patiently.
Our Principal Mr M.K. Panda thanked the entire team for giving valuable suggestions to the students and solving their doubts.
Overall the workshop was very informative for our young students and hope that it will prove to be fruitful for them.
