Welcome Party of Pre-primary & Activities held for pre-primary and primary on the First day of the New Session (4th April,2016) On 4th April, 2016, a Welcome Party was thrown for the pre-primary children of THE LITTLE CHAMPS. Their parents were also invited to make their child's transition from home/preschool as easy as possible. The programme began with a welcome address by the Principal of the Little Champs, Mrs. Chandrani Banerjee. She conveyed to them about the school policies, curriculum followed and the teaching methodology. She gave ways to help the children adjust in the school environment. She also discussed about nurturing the healthy eating habits among the children. The parents were given further practical information such as uniform requirements, information, bus travel, etc. The little tiny tots presented a rhyme session for their parents. Then, in order to entertain the children, some games were organized for the parents as well as the children like musical chair, bursting the balloon and hurdle race. The winners of the games were given chocolates. The teachers narrated the stories. The programme concluded with the introduction of the class teachers to the parents. Then, the children were escorted to their kindergarten classrooms where they not only participated in an activity of making a butterfly with palm impression which was a return gift for them, as well as their footprint impressions were also taken on a chart paper believing that the prints or impressions of a child’s feet can be kept as a memento by the teachers as well as parents. On the first day of the academic session, the students of Grades P.G. to 5 participated in various activities by which they not only enjoyed themselves but also had great fun. These activities were as follows :- Class P.G. to U.K.G. - Palm impression on butterfly Class 1- Cotton impression on cloud Class 2- Potato impression on tree Class 3- Leaf impression on tree Class 4- Lady finger impression on peacock Class 5- Onion impression on flower vase
