‘Give hope to the earth
Plant a tree and save the Earth’
We all are fully aware that trees make oxygen and spread it in the air. They consume carbon dioxide and thereby make our environment safe for us. We get fruits, vegetables and flowers from the trees. Trees provide us with fuel and timbers. In summer, they bear the scorching rays of the sun and give us cool shade and many more. The benefits of trees are endless, but it is really sad that we are ruthlessly cutting down the green trees and are building concrete jungles.
To create awareness among the students about the importance of trees in our lives a ‘Sapling Plantation Day’ was observed at The Jain International School for the students from classes 1st to 8th on Tuesday, July 15, 2014.
The enthusiasm and excitement of our youngsters was worth appreciating when they planted the saplings and watered them. They also displayed slogans encouraging plantation of trees and thereby saving the environment.
‘SAVE TREES’ ‘THE SIGHT OF GREENRY BENEFITS THE VISION’
‘DO PLANTATION TO SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT”
It was just a small effort on the part of our youngsters to save environment. Only planting the trees is not enough. Because, planted trees may be destroyed by animals or otherwise, or may die for regular service of water. So the students were told to be particular about the after-care of the newly- planted trees.
Trees should be regularly planted to save the mankind and the animal world. Tree plantation and its after-care is a pleasing work too. As a mother nurtures her child in the same way we have to look after the small plants and they will in return look after us when they grow up.
